Solar EPC company GRNE Solar formally announced its transition to the Nelnet Renewable Energy brand following its acquisition by Nelnet in 2022, a publicly traded diversified financial services and technology company.

With more than a decade of experience in the field, GRNE Solar has emerged as one of the leading companies providing solutions for residential, commercial and utility-scale solar in many US states.

The new management said that the transition supports a focus on operational excellence by optimizing people, systems, processes and workflows to ensure the company maximizes value for all stakeholders. This optimization will ensure that the company achieves long-term, sustainable success and growth.

As for Nelnet, the partnership is expected to combine its financing expertise and strengthen its capabilities to expand its presence in the solar and renewable energy sector.

Despite the rebranding, the core offerings will remain the same. Peterman also pointed out that through the acquisition and rebranding, the company will further optimize resources and explores ways and models to save clients money while contributing to the renewable energy goals of the country.
