CVE North America

CVE North America is an independent solar power producer headquartered in New York City. Founded in 2017 as part of the international CVE Group—which operates across France, Chile, South Africa, Spain, and the U.S.—the company combines a personalized approach typical of smaller firms with the financial strength and expertise of a global player. CVE North America develops community solar projects that generate clean electricity while supporting local economies and land productivity. Their “Halo” program enables residents to subscribe to local solar farms for utility bill savings without rooftop installations.
As of early 2025, they operate approximately 90 MW of installed capacity across Massachusetts and New York and have a development pipeline exceeding 379 MW. Notable achievements include acquiring a 41 MW portfolio from Saturn Power in upstate New York—part of thirteen projects totaling over 73 MW under construction—and completing several large-scale community solar installations such as a pollinator-friendly project in New Marlborough (MA).
The company emphasizes environmental stewardship through pollinator-friendly sites and donations to local initiatives. As part of its mission—“Putting People and Planet at Heart”—CVE prioritizes transparency, integrity, sustainability impact, ISO certifications (9001 & 14001), positive stakeholder engagement with landowners/local governments, and equitable access to affordable clean energy.
