Impact Power Solutions (IPS), founded in 1991 in Roseville, Minnesota, has been a leading full-service clean energy development company specializing in delivering comprehensive solar solutions. Over more than three decades, IPS established itself as a pioneer in Minnesota’s community solar market and expanded its reach across multiple states by providing affordable clean energy to diverse communities. The company’s portfolio includes rooftop installations for commercial clients as well as large-scale community solar gardens.
In April 2022, IPS was acquired by New Energy Equity—a top-ranked national distributed solar developer—and began operating under that brand from November 2022 onward. Together with New Energy Equity (a subsidiary of ALLETE), they have completed over 250 projects totaling more than 330 megawatts nationwide and have been recognized repeatedly among the Top Solar Contractors in the United States.
