OneRoof Energy was an American residential solar energy provider headquartered in San Diego, California. Founded in 2011, the company specialized in making solar energy accessible through innovative financing options such as leases and power purchase agreements (PPAs), allowing homeowners to install photovoltaic systems with little or no upfront cost. OneRoof managed every aspect of residential solar projects—from initial system design through permitting, installation project management, financing solutions, ongoing monitoring, and maintenance. The company partnered with traditional energy retailers and home services companies to expand its reach across nine states. Its proprietary SunOpps online portal enabled customers to customize financing options and monitor their systems’ performance. In December 2016–early 2017 OneRoof began winding down operations due to financial challenges and ceased new business activities.
