Sun Solar LLC

Founded by Caleb Arthur in 2012, Sun Solar LLC is headquartered in Springfield, Missouri with additional offices serving Kansas City and Illinois. The company specializes in designing and installing custom solar energy solutions for both residential and commercial clients across Missouri, Kansas, and Illinois. Notably recognized as the #1 residential solar installer in Missouri with over 13,000 installations completed to date, Sun Solar offers a comprehensive suite of services including traditional rooftop panels, ground mounts, canopies, Tesla Solar Roofs (being the first to install one in Missouri), battery storage solutions such as Tesla Powerwall 3’s, as well as full-service project management from permitting through activation.
Sun Solar distinguishes itself through its commitment to energy efficiency—offering detailed audits to help customers reduce consumption before adding generation capacity—and by providing robust customer support throughout system lifecycles. The company has been recognized for rapid growth regionally; it reported $55 million revenue in 2023 with approximately 220 employees at that time. Expansion plans include entering new markets beyond its legacy regions and investing up to $100 million into domestic solar panel manufacturing facilities—a move currently on hold due to global supply dynamics but still part of long-term strategy.
