Vision Solar LLC

Vision Solar LLC was a rapidly growing residential solar energy provider headquartered in Blackwood, New Jersey. Founded in 2018 by Jonathan Seibert, Vision Solar quickly became one of the largest end-to-end residential solar companies in the United States—at its peak ranking as the nation’s sixth-largest installer by volume. The company specialized in turnkey solutions for homeowners: handling everything from initial consultation through system design, permitting, installation, activation, and limited aftercare.
Operating across multiple states—including Pennsylvania, Arizona, Connecticut, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Texas, Florida (and at times South Carolina)—Vision Solar completed over 15,000 installations since inception and reported annual revenues exceeding $150 million as of early 2023. The firm promoted rapid project timelines (“installation within 24 hours after approval” was sometimes advertised), proprietary technology to streamline operations, and a mission to make renewable energy accessible nationwide.
However, Vision Solar faced mounting legal challenges related to business practices such as improper permitting procedures and misleading sales tactics. In December 2023 it filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy protection; it is no longer operating or reorganizing. As a result of its collapse—and subsequent $5 million legal judgment—the company has ceased all business activities.
