EIT InnoEnergy is a leading European innovation engine established in 2010, dedicated to accelerating the transition towards a net-zero economy by industrializing clean technology innovations. The company primarily focuses on investing in startups developing breakthrough technologies within renewable energies, including solar power, and building resilient industrial value chains essential for Europe’s decarbonization goals. As Secretariat of major alliances like the European Solar PV Industry Alliance (ESIA), EIT InnoEnergy plays a pivotal role in scaling up domestic manufacturing capacity for photovoltaic products, targeting 30 GW annual production by 2025.
In response to workforce needs, EIT InnoEnergy launched the European Solar Academy to reskill or upskill at least 65,000 workers within two years through industry-recognized training programs across the solar value chain.
