Leading solar technology company Maxeon Solar Technologies (Maxeon) announced it will showcase its latest solar panel products and new energy solutions, and officially launch a new, revolutionary partnership with electric vehicle charging software company ev.energy during Intersolar Europe 2023 from June 14–16.
The company will reveal its latest flagship Maxeon series solar panels with leading energy density, increased energy yield, superior shade tolerance and a solid 40-year power and product warranty. It is also set to unveil its newest generation of Performance series panels built upon high-efficiency TOPCon cell technology, offering improved aesthetics, increased mono or bifacial power generation and a lower temperature coefficient for enhanced power density.
Maxeon will also announce its membership in the European Solar PV Industry Alliance (ESIA), aiming to bolster the development of a mature, domestic solar PV industry in the EU. The company is currently actively involved in three specialized working groups of the ESIA: Non-Pricing Conditions, Supply Chain and Financing, to realize its plans and missions strategically and systematically.
The partnership with ev.energy is a significant step for the company in integrating the benefits of solar energy into the era of electric vehicles (EVs) while enhancing the competitiveness of each other.
Specifically, it marks another addition to Maxeon's SunPower One open and flexible suite of products and services, which also includes SunPower Reserve, the company's home energy storage system, Insights service, and SunPower One home energy management solutions, altogether allowing customers to be in control of their energy usage and save money.
As an exclusive benefit to SunPower One, customers who purchase SunPower Drive, Maxeon's EV mobility solution, will have access to ev.energy mobility and home energy management services, reaping a series of intelligent use cases, including solar surplus charging, smart tariff charging and smart scheduling, helping to drive savings and make the most of solar.
"This new cooperation with ev.energy is an exciting extension of the SunPower One ecosystem, expanding our proposition for consumers and enabling them to take the clean energy produced by their Maxeon panels on the road in their electric vehicles," explained Ralf Elias, Chief Product Officer of Maxeon Solar Technologies.
